Gaige Grosskreutz Denies Pointing Gun at Rittenhouse After Admitting Pointing Gun at Rittenhouse

Gaige Grosskreutz GMA testimony and Gaige Grosskreutz trial testimony: They contradict each other.

Gaige Grosskreutz, who is affiliated with the People’s Revolution Group and is the only man to survive being shot by Kyle Rittenhouse, denied pointing his gun at Kyle Rittenhouse after admitting to pointing his gun at Kyle Rittenhouse.

Got that?

In an extremely disingenuous (being charitable there), appearance on Good Morning America alongside his civil attorney Kimberley Motley (who is trying to get millions of dollars on his behalf), Grosskreutz switched his story 180 degrees from his trial testimony earlier in the week. Unbelievably, Motley then accused RITTENHOUSE of inconsistencies on the stand.

Compare & Contrast Gaige Grosskreutz GMA

Here is what Grosskreutz said on GMA at the key moment:

Host Michael Strahan asked, “You’re saying you weren’t pointing your gun at him?”

“That’s absolutely what I’m saying yes,” said Grosskreutz. “Kyle Rittenhouse was an active shooter. He murdered two men and he attempted to murder me.”

Here is Grosskreutz’s trial testimony.

Defense attorney: “You would agree your firearm is pointed at Mr. Rittenhouse correct?”

Grosskreutz: “Yes.”

Defense: “Once your firearm is pointed at Mr. Rittenhouse, that’s when he fires his gun, yes?

Grosskreutz: “No.”

Defense: “Sir, look…Does this look like right now your arm is being shot?”

Grosskreutz: “That looks like my bicep being vaporized yes.”

Defense: “It’s being vaporized because you’re pointing a gun directly at him, yes?”

Grosskreutz: “Yes.”

Defense: “When you’re standing 3-5 feet from him with your arms up in the air he never fired. Right?”

Grosskreutz: “Correct.”

Defense: “It wasn’t until you pointed your gun at him, advanced on him with your gun, now your hands down, pointed at him, that he fired, right?”

Grosskreutz: “Correct.”

The defense introduced this still shot they say shows Grosskreutz with the gun as his bicep “vaporized.” Rittenhouse is claiming he feared for his life at the hands of Grosskreutz and acted in self-defense.

Gaige grosskreutz gma

Grosskreutz, who has a prior conviction for intoxicated use of a firearm, and several past citations, including one for loitering for allegedly “lurking” in an area where West Allis, Wisconsin, police keep their private vehicles, videotaping them. He was found guilty in a 2019 citation for obedience to officers and loud noises in Ashland, Wisconsin.

He admitted on the witness stand that he was carrying a gun concealed the night Rittenhouse shot him and that his concealed carry permit had expired. It’s illegal in Wisconsin to carry a gun concealed without a valid permit. But GMA didn’t ask him about any of that.

Asked on GMA why he pointed his gun at Rittenhouse, he referenced the Second Amendment “right of American citizens to bear arms. And I think that during cross-examination, it’s hard to say what you want to say; I do believe that in that photo given the right narrative, um, one could suggest that yes I was pointing my weapon at the defendant, um, but when you play it as a movie or look at it different stills, my arm was being vaporized as I was allegedly pointing my weapon at the defendant. It’s completely inconsistent with the physiology of my wound that he would have shot me while my weapon was pointed at his head.”

That’s when ost Michael Strahan asked, “You’re saying you weren’t pointing your gun at him?”

“That’s absolutely what I’m saying yes,” said Grosskreutz. “Kyle Rittenhouse was an active shooter. He murdered two men and he attempted to murder me.”

Grosskreutz appeared on the TV show with his attorney Kimberley Motley. Of Rittenhouse’s trial testimony, he said, “Well I think any time you see your would-be murderer on the stand, it’s emotional.”

Asked his reaction to Rittenhouse crying, he said, “To me, it seemed like a child who had just gotten caught doing something he wasn’t supposed to. More upset he was caught and less upset by what he had done and what he had taken and the numerous lives he affected that night.”

Motley said it “should be recognized Mr. Rittenhouse was an active shooter. It’s important as Gaige has said that some of his testimony was extremely inconsistent. He was not I believe in imminent fear of danger for his own life. He was not threatening Mr. Rittenhouse. Mr. Rittenhouse re-racked his gun with Gaige and I think that’s really important. People need to pay attention to the inconsistent statements from the active shooter or the defendant, Kyle Rittenhouse.”

“There are a million things that run through your mind when someone’s pointing a rifle at you after just having murdered someone,” Grosskreutz said. “I was concerned for my safety. I’m not somebody who takes a life, I’ve made a life out of protecting and preserving life.”

On the witness stand, though, Grosskreutz said he was afraid for RITTENHOUSE’S safety at the hands of Anthony Huber, who was hitting Rittenhouse with a skateboard and “wrestling” for Rittenhouse’s gun when shot.

Port Washington Passes Bill to Give Public Say in Data Center TID Approvals

(The Center Square) – The city of Port Washington approved a referendum Tuesday that would require future projects worth more than $10 million to be approved by taxpayers before being added to a tax increment district.

The initiative, in response to a large-scale AI data center in the city, passed with 2,710 votes of approval compared to 1,371 in opposition. More than 50% of the 8,257 registered Port Washington voters voted in the election.

The initiative came in response to an $8 billion data center project that is expected to receive more than $450 million in property tax breaks along with not paying state sales tax on everything from construction to the servers inside to electricity at the site, which is estimated to require as much electricity as the city of Los Angeles once fully operational.

“Tonight, democracy worked the way it’s supposed to,” said Great Lakes Neighbors Incorporated member Christine Le Jeune in a statement. “Over 1,000 residents signed the petition that put this measure on the ballot, and tonight Port Washington voters spoke with one clear voice. The people deserve a seat at the table when their tax dollars are on the line.”

Data centers have shown to be unpopular with voters as 69% of Wisconsin voters in a recent Marquette poll said that they believe that the cost of data centers outweigh the benefits.

Republican candidate for governor and Congressman Tom Tiffany vowed to “end subsidies for data centers in Wisconsin” if he becomes governor.

Wisconsin comedian Charlie Berens has also been outspoken about the secrecy and impact of data centers, especially the Port Washington project and process. Berens testified in support of a bill to block non-disclosure agreements at data centers that did not pass the Legislature before session closed.

Le Jeune and two others from Great Lakes Neighbors United were removed from a public meeting on the Port Washington project in December by police when, after her allotted three minutes to speak in public comment, she shouted “shame” and “recall” as she headed to her seat.

Video from the meeting then showed a police officer approaching Le Jeune in the audience and asking her to leave.

Le Jeune would not leave and then a second officer approached and then began pulling on her arms to remove her from the meeting. Le Jeune and two others were then taken to the floor in the meeting room and handcuffed before being removed from the building.
