Fawn Hall was a key figure in the Iran-Contra scandal during President Ronald Reagan’s term. She was the personal secretary to Oliver North, and became a well-known name in the 1980s.
Now, 40 years later, there’s a new twist in the story: Fawn Hall and North are secretly married.
That’s according to Michael Isikoff, who revealed the marriage in Spy Talk in September 2025.
“Oliver North and Fawn Hall are wed in a ‘secret’ ceremony in rural Virginia,” Isikoff wrote in the article.
The New York Post reports that North is now 81 years old, and Hall is 65.
Fawn Hall Married Oliver North on August 27, the Report Says
Records obtained by the journalist showed the pair married in Virginia on August 27. “It was a secret marriage,” their friend told Isikoff.
The Post noted that prosecutors gave Hall immunity during the Iran-Contra investigation; for his part, North had his convictions overturned on appeal.
Both were previously married for years to others, but both of their spouses passed away.
Fawn Hall was married to Danny Sugerman, “former manager and biographer of the Doors, died in 2005 of lung cancer,” according to The Washington Post.
North’s wife was Elizabeth Stuart North from 1968 through her death at age 80 in 2024, according to Fox News, and the mother of his four children.
