Amandria Brunner Is the Suspect in Marquette Lacrosse Team Deaths, 4 Sources Say

Four law enforcement sources have told Wisconsin Right Now that Amandria Brunner is the 41-year-old woman who is allegedly in custody in the deaths of two Marquette University lacrosse team athletes, who were killed in a horrific car crash on Friday.

According to the sources, she is being held in the Milwaukee County Jail on allegations of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, two counts.

The Milwaukee County Jail inmate database shows Brunner in the jail but doesn’t give the potential charges (we verified those via other documentation and sources). She has no criminal record in Wisconsin, according to a review of Wisconsin court records. Public records verify that she is 41 and has a Milwaukee address. Her social media pages show her with three kids. Bail was set at $150,000, per the jail records, which list the charges as “pending.”

Brunner has not been criminally charged; the charges reflect the accusations by police to take her into custody. The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office will make the ultimate decision on whether criminal charges will result. The custody date in jail records is listed as Sept. 7, not Sept. 5, because she was held in police lockup at first, sources say.

The deaths of lacrosse team players Noah Snyder and Scott Michaud have rocked the university and city.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office previously released the victims’ names. They are Noah Earl Snyder, 20, of Getzville, New York, and Scott Michael Michaud, 19, of Springboro, Ohio. Both played for the university’s lacrosse team, and they were student athletes who had won honors.

Michaud was the team’s goalie, and he planned to major in biomedical science. He was a U.S. Lacrosse All-American. Snyder played the attack position and planned to major in business; he was recently named to the Big East All-Academic Team.

“This 20-year-old male was the passenger of an SUV that was struck by another vehicle at an intersection. He was pronounced deceased on scene, as well as another 19-year-old passenger,” according to a statement from the ME’s office. The driver of the other vehicle is under arrest, police confirmed previously.

The crash occurred at North 27th Street and West St. Paul Avenue in Milwaukee.

The university also confirmed that the deceased students were student athletes with the lacrosse team and said that other members of the team were also taken to the hospital and treated for injuries.

Milwaukee police “are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Friday, September 5th, 2025 at approximately 5:00 p.m., at the intersection of N 27th Street and W. St Paul. The driver of vehicle #1, a 41-year-old, collided with another vehicle containing six occupants,” MPD wrote.

“Two passengers in vehicle #2, a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old, did succumb to injuries sustained during the collision and were pronounced deceased on scene. The other occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated on scene by medical personnel and at local hospitals. The driver of vehicle #1 was taken into custody. This investigation is ongoing. Criminal charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.”

The driver has not yet been named officially by authorities.
