Republican Wisconsin Congressman Derrick Van Orden’s Eau Claire office “was targeted by an individual fueled by anti-ICE rhetoric—shouting slurs, pounding on the doors, and attempting to force his way inside,” his office said in a press release.

“Some radicalized JackWagon attempted to force his way into my official office yesterday. This is domestic terrorism,” Van Orden, a former Navy SEAL chief, wrote on X. Van Orden posted a photo showing a car with the phrases “your turn” and “f*ck ICE” written on it.

The person’s name was not released.

“This is not a coincidence. This is the predictable consequence of Democrats’ reckless and inflammatory rhetoric targeting law enforcement,” the release said, noting that the incident occurred on January 7, “just hours after ICE officers were violently attacked in Minnesota.”

Eau Claire police told The Hill that the attack is under investigation.

“This is exactly what happens when Democrats spend years demonizing ICE, law enforcement, and Republicans,” said Grace Kim, Communications Director. “Their violent rhetoric has real-world consequences, and yesterday we saw how quickly words turn into intimidation and violence. This dangerous behavior must stop, now.”
