Likely Democratic Party nominee Francesca Hong was on the “verge” of an anxiety attack at a Black River Falls Culvers because there were too many “old white people,” and it’s making national news. She posted about it. Her words.
Hong has pivoted, though. She clearly thinks that she will win the Democratic primary (she probably will, now that the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s s*x patrol church ladies forced Mandela Barnes out of the race because he once had consensual s*x.)

Hong has shifted into general election mode, so she’s popping up on Fox News and CNN, and it’s going hilariously, in part because Dana Perino and Dana Bash are trawling through her old “abolish pretty much every institution we hold dear” posts.
Her social media posts are a treasure trove of racial animus and equity codes, hatred for the police, and sheer lunacy (abolishing the Senate, prisons, being scared of old white folks minding their own business at Culvers). It’s making me miss Dirt McGirk. At least he was funny.
This is becoming a pattern. Hong also shaded the skin of white male chefs and said she was broken and shaking because black lives were lost in Kenosha. Except, the people who died in Kenosha were white, including a convicted child m*lester who provoked an act of self-defense after police leaders allowed agitators to burn a mattress store, Corrections building, credit union, and used car lot without enough push back (it’s a case study of what society would look like without police.)
For good measure, Hong advocated cancelling Thanksgiving.
What doesn’t this lady want to abolish?
Tom Tiffany Doesn’t Want to Cancel Thanksgiving
Meanwhile, Republican candidate and state dad Tom Tiffany felt compelled to announce that he won’t cancel Thanksgiving and was having a field day with her old posts (hilarious they didn’t scrub them, but they probably never thought she would win). I’m guessing Tom Tiffany would be like my late uncle Tony at Thanksgiving. Help with the turkey, pass the mashed potatoes and then decamp to the living room to watch football. Hong probably wouldn’t get out of bed until 2.
Fran understands that she’ll be in a lot of rooms with old white people if she’s elected governor, right? I mean, this is Wisconsin. Will she also have an anxiety attack at the Jefferson County State Fair, Country Thunder, and the State of the Union… or sitting in a room of Democrat donors? She said in a recent interview that she was diagnosed with bipolar disease years ago. Is this relevant to her decision making?
Quite honestly, her attempts to repudiate almost everything she so clearly believed in – just in time to get old white people to vote for her! – is absolutely brazen. And not working out too well.
“She’s our Trump,” a Democrat told me. But she doesn’t have Trump’s force of personality (or Mamdani’s), and this is clear every time she shows up on national TV or at an event… the real Fran is a far cry from curated TikTok Fran. There is no belief Real Fran won’t throw under the bus of political expediency (but I don’t believe her. I believe her ideology hasn’t changed at all, and it will be threaded through every act she would take as governor.)
The absurdity extends to economics.
Fran also told Fox News that she doesn’t want mega corporations to come to Wisconsin (on top of creating the highest income tax rate in the state.)
Suggested New Campaign Slogan
After her goofy Fox News interview, Hong also posted that she is “not running to” defund the police who she has previously claimed uphold white supremacy at their “core.” In that post, she lied that the governor can’t defund police anyway, while simultaneously falsely accusing former Gov. Scott Walker of defunding police. If Gov. Walker could defund the police, then, by her own logic, governors can defund the police, so she just defeated her point in her own post. Trying to decipher the Rubik’s Cube of Hong Logic is exhausting.
Actually, the governor controls the budgets of the state patrol and Capitol Police and Tony Evers sent million in grants to… local police. She then claimed she’s for victims, even though she is all in with Evers’ “free killers” commutation scheme, which victims’ family members say is devastating them.
Suggested campaign slogan: “Wisconsin, not open for business, police or old white people.”
Hong said in the debate that she was confused by the “hypothetical” when asked by Matt Smith whether her wild tax increase plan would make it hard to recruit businesses (or cause them to leave, frankly.) She then said something about improving the quality of life of millionaires.
She’s not the affordability goddess that young people think. She will destroy the state’s economy and blow up local government budgets.
But then she babbled on Fox something about the state needing more jobs, which she appears to think magically appear. I’m guessing her beloved Green Pay Packers won’t be happy about Fran’s 17.7 percent millionaire tax. Francesca Hong wants to increase taxes on Jordan Love!
A Candidate Remaking Herself in Real Time
Usually candidates don’t make stuff up this brazenly and on the fly. It’s usually a lot more calculated.
Hong is now being asked about such things in wild-eyed interviews on national news where she’s trying to pretend she doesn’t really stand for the crazy stuff she’s put in writing over the years, you know, like abolishing the Senate “at this time.” Before she wrote, “Abolish the Senate.” She’s also trying to pretend she’s not joined at the hip with #DSA because she didn’t seek a national DSA endorsement.
She’s just endorsed by, and a card carrying member of her “home” DSA chapter, she warmly informed Perino.
Unfortunately for her, Dana Perino walked her into the bear trap of admitting she pays the Madison DSA dues, so now she’s funding a chapter that’s as crazy as the national umbrella org. I know because I just screenshotted a lot of the stuff on their pages. Story forthcoming. For starters, they held Marxist 101 and 301 events, have an “abolitionist” working group, and affirmed their “commitment to the abolition of policing” and prisons. A 2023 Madison DSA abolitionist event promised, “pizza, not pigs.. pizza for abolitionists.”
They called Fran a “DSA slate” candidate.
Francesca Hong is DSA. Her attempt to embrace her home chapter and downplay the national umbrella org is a distinction without a difference. It’s like saying after World War II, “Well, I didn’t belong to the national N*zi party, just my home chapter in Augsburg.” How would that defense have gone at Nuremberg?
“Abolish ICE, defund the police, and free Palestine” aren’t slogans: they’re commitments to action. You don’t commit = we don’t support,” the Madison DSA wrote in 2022. Guess who they’ve endorsed? Hong. They even have a working group to assist her campaign and have been doing aggressive GOTV for her. They even held a “Chapter Reading Group for Karl Marx & Friedrich Engels ‘The Communist Manifesto.’”
Another event: “For our next reading group, we shall depart from Lenin and embark upon a new journey guided by the highly influential Marxist Rosa Luxemburg.”
Back Where We Began
Let’s end where we began: Culvers.
The racial equity agitator stereotyped a roomful of old white people who were just trying to enjoy a burger and cheese curds (which she also trashed in a different post), and even worse she thinks Culvers sells ice cream. It’s called frozen custard, Fran. The dairy and eggs are spun at a lower speed.
She lied to her kid that Culvers was out of “ice cream” so she could book it and get away from all those old white people she assumed didn’t think she could speak English. The kid got robbed of a cone because mom couldn’t handle being around a bunch of farmers and retirees due to the color of their skin.
Does she want to be governor of the entire state?
Did she walk around the room and survey the old white people? Did one say something to her? Is she a mind reader? It appears she just stereotyped an entire group by ascribing racist thoughts to them that they probably didn’t even have.
Meanwhile, she’s joined at the hip with old white people like anti-police loon Ryan Clancy, who some observers fear would be anointed the Secretary of Corrections in a Hong administration. I googled him. He’s 49. Is that old enough to cause Francesca Hong anxiety? She did make it out to Franklin for a forum. The picture, somewhat hilariously, showed her in room full of, you guessed it, old white people. It turned out one asked her whether she was a Communist, and she revealed she will be putting “clarification” videos on social media.
