Democratic frontrunner Francesca Hong has made it explicitly clear: She does not stand with the police.
She has advocated, in writing, for abolishing the police. Then, after a police shooting in Madison that experts believe was likely justified, she grabbed a megaphone, headed into the middle of an agitated crowd, and rushed to judgment against the cop, labeling the shooting an “execution” and saying that the system could no longer be protected.
And now, with citizen tensions still running high, she posted a photo showing a young child holding a sign on a traffic light that reads, “No More killer cops.” Here’s the photo Hong posted.

She used the photo to accentuate a post in which she continued her anti-police rhetoric. Another photos included a Black Lives Matter flag and an angry crowd squaring off against a line of outmanned cops.
She wrote with the post, “Fatal encounters with law enforcement happen far too often – especially for people of color. The only acceptable number of police killings is zero.”
That is of course impossible unless you remove the legal right police have to protect themselves because sometimes people shoot at the police or cut them with a knife, as the Madison man, Corey Ruiz, did.
