Conservative state Rep. Scott Allen is running against leftist Alicia Halvensleben for Waukesha mayor on April 7.
Leftist Waukesha mayoral candidate Alicia Halvensleben, who touts endorsements from Democrats in her campaign against conservative Rep. Scott Allen, absolutely loved the No Kings protests. She was all in.
“What an amazing sight today in Waukesha!” she declared on Facebook, posting a slew of photos from the protests. One photo showed her shaking hands with a person in a group that included a protester who was holding a sign calling ICE the “Gestapo.”
“An estimated 2,100 people gathered for the No Kings protest. People from across our city made their voices heard. This is what a strong community looks like: people who care, who participate, and who are invested in our shared future,” she crowed.
Halvensleben is the current 11th District Alderperson and Common Council President. She is the liberal in the race. She has touted endorsements from Democrats.
Scott Allen has been endorsed by District Attorney Lesli Boese, Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrell, and other top local officials and conservatives.
State Rep. Scott Allen “has two master’s degrees, one in urban planning and one in public administration. He has also spent the last ten years representing Waukesha in the state legislature. He previously served on the Waukesha County Community Development Block Grant board and one term on the Waukesha Common Council. He is also a Realtor and a business owner,” his campaign website says.

“Scott lives with his wife, Angila, on the southwest side of the City near Waukesha West High School. Scott intends to engage in community-wide brainstorming and collaboration through the city common council members and stakeholders to collect ideas on solutions to the challenges we face,” Allen’s website adds.
Allen wrote on Facebook, “I envision a bright future for Waukesha. I believe our best days as a city are in front of us. Each of us has a role to play in making our community even better than it is today. When we work together and exercise initiative we can do great things.“
