U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany, who is running for Wisconsin governor, slammed the U.S. Senate for approving “a terrible bill that didn’t even fund DHS efforts to combat child sex trafficking.”

Tiffany added, “We want to reopen DHS and keep the border closed. Democrats want to keep DHS closed and reopen the border. We are not the same.”

In a series of posts, Tiffany identified Democrats as the villains behind the political stalemate over DHS, which has led to lengthy TSA lines throughout the country. “At the end of the day, Democrats want open borders. They want to keep the MILLIONS of illegal aliens who entered during the Biden-Harris years in our country,” he wrote.

Added Tiffany: “Democrats shut down the federal government for 43 days last year. Now they have shut down DHS, TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard for 40 days this year. All of it to protect illegal aliens.”

Continued Tiffany, “Senate Democrats have voted 5 times against securing our homeland and paying TSA agents. The House already passed a funding bill (with support from 7 Democrats). End the Democrat DHS shutdown.”
