Comrade Harris’s VP Pick Is a Radical Leftist in Sheep’s Clothing [Up Against the Wall]

spot_img

This is an opinion piece.

I have to be honest and say, thank God, Republicans dodged a bullet on that one. Comrade Harris’s VP pick of Governor Tom Walz of Minnesota (man, I hate the Vikings, err did I say that out loud?) doesn’t really help her at all. Well, I guess it solidifies her radical leftist base if that’s what she wanted. Instead of reaching out to the middle of America (and I don’t mean the Midwest) with a centrist to win over independents, they (because this pick wasn’t made by her alone in my personal opinion) decided to go with another pretender, a radical leftist hiding in sheep’s clothing.

Evidence 1 – Walz likes to pretend he’s pro-Second Amendment, but the NRA says he’s a phony. And how ironic anyway. Harris picks someone who claims he favors guns, uses guns, does target shooting, but her radical leftist base is totally opposed to anyone having guns except big government (so we can’t rebel…) I find that hilarious and totally hypocritical, and I know he’ll be switching off those talking points if he wins. (Note that she presumes she will be the nominee… so much for democracy under the Democrats.)

Evidence 2 – She picks an old white guy from liberal Minnesota, which means she’s not a good chess player. She already had Minnesota in the bag, so her selection won’t help her win more electoral votes. She could have picked Josh Shapiro, governor of Pennsylvania, a state she definitely needs to win, but apparently, from what I have read, the radical leftists on her team considered him too moderate and possibly too smart – which would make her look dumb by comparison. She needed an old guy who moves slower and isn’t as smart to make her look youthful and more presidential. I wouldn’t count on this guy Walz running for president in 8 years… Likewise, a good chess player would have even considered Evers of Wisconsin, since this entire race has come down to winning Wisconsin. Whoever wins Wisconsin will win the Electoral College. But nope, again.

Evidence 3 – You couldn’t get a more liberal state than Minnesota; it’s practically right up there with California with crazy stupid ideas. While roughly the same size as Wisconsin, Minnesota is highly centralized in the Twin Cities, which means the vast majority of the population of the state lives in the two big cities – and we all know that the more you live in a big city, the more liberal you probably are.

The state has a massive government bureaucracy, large national corporations (like Target and 3M for example), and a lot of radicals as proven by their being the origin of a lot of protests. Wisconsin by comparison has its population spread throughout the state, with far fewer people in its two largest cities, and Wisconsin beats Minnesota not only with its 15,000 lakes (vs 10,000 in Minnesota), but in football too! Ha! Take that Vikings!

You see, Shapiro is considered a centrist, which is why they couldn’t pick him. Hmm, I would take the message exactly the way it was intended. The message of not picking him is that Harris and the politburo that controls her and Biden wants a hard leftist, not a centrist. They want someone older who won’t show her up, not a young, smart guy from a state that is a must-win for Harris. Nooooo. That tells us everything we need to know. Harris and her puppet masters will continue the failed hard-left policies of Biden-Harris.

Whereas, Shapiro is pro-school vouchers! Heaven forbid! And pro-Israel! OMG. The left can’t have that. They worship at the feet of the pro-Palestinian lobby in the U.S. Wake up Jewish people across America! Harris just dumped your choice for VP in favor of not showing favoritism toward Israel. That should be a huge wake-up call.

In fact, who Harris didn’t select tells you more about her and her handlers than who she did select. Selecting Walz is like selecting plain vanilla ice cream; it’s easy, it’s safe, and it’s an old favorite sure not to displease, but it’s also booorring. There were a lot more tasty flavors out there to try, but nope, not Harris. She doesn’t want the risk of someone appearing to be more tasty than her.

Evidence 4 – The Wall Street Journal did a nice piece on the differences in the finances of the two Veeps. Walz is practically broke; he lives off government as he has his whole life; and his retirement will entirely be at the hands of the taxpayers’ pocketbook. Why anyone would want this loser potentially running our country is beyond me. The guy has had zero personal success outside of politics, but then liberals love their big government loyalists. Whereas JD Vance has lived the American Dream, coming from nothing, working hard, building a future, and becoming a successful businessperson and multi-millionaire. Vance knows what it’s like to go up against the massive government bureaucracy, and Vance signs the front of the check. Vance is also most definitely not a career politician compared to you know who.

Every week this race gets more crazy and more interesting. It still comes down to the ground game; who can turn out more voters. And then there’s the question of whether there will be cheating going on.

So Republicans need to get out there and work harder!

P.S. And hey, Vance – don’t forget Dane County. You need 23% in Dane County to win the state, so don’t ignore us. Anyone wanting to help can contact the Republican Party of Dane County or make a donation online. It all comes down to Wisconsin, and Wisconsin all comes down to Dane County.

Trump Expands Gulf of America Oil & Natural Gas Production

Reversing Biden administration policies that halted offshore leasing, prompting lawsuits and restricting oil and natural gas development, the Trump administration is expanding offshore capabilities.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum directed the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management to hold the administration’s first offshore lease sales in the Gulf of America, with the first proposed notice of sale slated for June.

“By continuing to expand offshore capabilities, the United States ensures affordable energy for consumers, strengthens domestic industry and reinforces its role as an energy superpower,” the Interior Department says. “Opening the Outer Continental Shelf is central to this strategy as it unleashes domestic energy potential that had been blocked under the previous administration,” and is expected to generate tens of thousands of high-paying jobs throughout the industry.

The BOEM also released a new analysis stating that a significant increase of estimated oil and natural gas reserves exists in the Gulf of America Outer Continental Shelf. BOEM’s updated assessment evaluated more than 140 oil and natural gas fields, identifying 18 new discoveries, and analyzed more than 37,000 reservoirs across 1,336 fields in the Gulf.

It says there’s an “additional 1.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent since 2021, bringing the total reserve estimate to 7.04 billion barrels of oil equivalent. This includes 5.77 billion barrels of oil and 7.15 trillion cubic feet of natural gas – a 22.6% increase in remaining recoverable reserves.”

“This new data confirms what we’ve known all along – America is sitting on a treasure trove of energy, and under President Trump’s leadership, we’re unlocking it,” Burgum said. “The Gulf of America is a powerhouse, and by streamlining permitting and expanding access, we’re not just powering our economy – we’re strengthening our national security and putting thousands of Americans back to work.”

The comprehensive review added 4.39 billion barrels of oil equivalent in original reserves, BOEM found. “After subtracting production of 3.09 billion barrels of oil equivalent since 2020–2021, the net increase reflects continued opportunity and momentum in offshore development,” it says.

“The Gulf of America is delivering 14% of the nation’s oil,” BOEM Gulf of America Regional Director Dr. James Kendall said. “These updated estimates reaffirm the Gulf’s vital role in ensuring a reliable, affordable domestic energy supply.”

The BOEM oversees nearly 3.2 billion acres of the Outer Continental Shelf, with roughly 160 million acres located in the Gulf.

“Energy dominance is a pillar of U.S. economic strength and global leadership,” the Interior Department argues. “By expanding offshore capabilities, the United States ensures affordable energy for consumers, creates high-paying jobs, and reduces dependence on foreign adversaries. … Expanded leasing is projected to create tens of thousands of jobs across exploration, production, logistics and supply chains — revitalizing coastal economies and fueling American innovation.”

Shell Offshore Inc., a subsidiary of Shell plc, also announced it is beginning production at Dover, a second subsea tieback connecting new wells to existing infrastructure of its Appomattox production hub in the Gulf of America. Dover’s estimated peak production is 20,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day, it says.

Shell is the leading deep-water operator in the Gulf of America; Dover was discovered under the first Trump administration in 2018.

It’s located in Mississippi Canyon, roughly 170 miles offshore southeast of New Orleans.

Shell estimates that Dover will “contain 44.5 million barrels of oil equivalent recoverable resources, adding stable, secure energy resources.”

Outer Continental Shelf oil and gas activities have generated billions of dollars in revenue from lease sales, rental fees and royalties to the federal government and states, helping to fund infrastructure, education and public services and wildlife conservation. They also help strengthen U.S. energy independence, national security and global stability, by reducing reliance on foreign producers, the Trump administration argues.

Offshore production in the Gulf of America accounts for the third greatest volume in the country, of nearly 1.8 million barrels of oil per day, according to Energy Information Agency data from January. The greatest volume is produced in the Permian Basin in west Texas, which leads the U.S. in oil and natural gas production, The Center Square reported.
