Tom Tiffany, candidate for governor of Wisconsin, called on “every Democrat running for governor to denounce the $750,000 the Democratic Party of Wisconsin accepted from Epstein Island visitor Reid Hoffman in April.”
In a statement on Thursday, Tiffany also called on each candidate “to pledge not to accept financial support from the party unless it returns the money and refuses any future contributions from Hoffman.” Remember that the State Party can funnel money to political candidates in various state races – and has. For example, the party can transfer money to influence the upcoming governor’s and attorney general’s races.
Wisconsin Democrats “have been bankrolled for years by Reid Hoffman, who remained connected to Jeffrey Epstein after he was a convicted sex offender and even traveled to his island. According to Wisconsin campaign finance records, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin has received more than $15 million from LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman since 2019, including $100,000 in December and another $750,000 in April. Mr. Hoffman is the party’s largest single donor,” wrote Tiffany.

“In February, I called on the Wisconsin Democratic Party leaders to return the money they received from Epstein Island visitor Reid Hoffman. Instead, they doubled down by accepting another $750,000 from him,” Tiffany said. “Will Francesca Hong, Mandela Barnes, and the other Democrat candidates pledge not to benefit from this Epstein-tainted money, or will they continue standing with a party that keeps accepting donations from a confirmed Epstein Island visitor who also sent Jeffrey Epstein gifts?”
With the release of the recent documents, “which Congressman Tom Tiffany voted to make public, the New York Post reports that newly uncovered emails show Reid Hoffman discussing visits to Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, his New Mexico ranch, and his New York apartment. Documents also show that Hoffman, who visited Jeffrey Epstein’s island in 2014, sent Epstein a statue, writing that it was ‘something that may strike your funny bone for the island.’ He also arranged to send Epstein ice cream ‘for the girls,'” alleged Tiffany.
We previously reported that the Democratic Party of Wisconsin has accepted more than $15 million since 2019 from a billionaire, Reid Hoffman, who is ensnared in the Jeffrey Epstein document dump controversy, including an admitted visit to Epstein’s infamous island. Reid Garrett Hoffman has been the party’s top donor.
A search of his name in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Epstein files database returned 2,668 results. Hoffman, a billionaire who co-founded LinkedIn, sent the Democratic Party of Wisconsin another $100,000 on December 24, 2025, as the Epstein email release scandal was brewing. Two days later, he funneled another $175,000 to the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee, state records show, at a time when Democrats are trying to flip the state Legislature.
Hoffman has repeatedly denied wrongdoing and said he visited Epstein’s island for one night to fundraise for MIT. Hoffman has not been criminally charged, arrested, or accused by authorities in connection with the Epstein case or associations. On X, he shared a story from the New York Post and suggested the outlet change its story to, “LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman exonerated by Trump’s FBI in newly released Epstein DOJ docs. Release all the files. Prosecute the abusers.
For starters, Epstein wrote an email to his assistant Saida Sapieva under the heading “Trip to the Island.” It says, “Reid will take a Virgin America Flight from SFO to Fort Lauderdale, departing at 8:20 am, landing at 4:40 pm.” There’s much, much more. A document submitted to Microsoft board members outlined Hoffman’s alleged interactions with Epstein in great detail (Hoffman remains on that board).
In one email, Epstein wrote that Hoffman should come to his ranch and island, exhorting, “Let’s play.” Hoffman wrote that he was busy with “China visits” but added, “possibly next year.” An email from Epstein to Elon Musk in 2014 reads, “Reid was on the island last weekend…”
