How radical is Democrat governor candidate Francesca Hong? She belongs to a group, DSA, that wants to abolish your right to elect the president. The group also wants to abolish capitalism, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Senate, and it wants to draft a new Constitution.
“Replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress,” the DSA platform states. It’s on their website. You can check it all out for yourself.
The national organization has chapters in Wisconsin; Milwaukee and Madison DSA chapters endorsed Hong and are aggressively campaigning for her. The group recently updated its platform, and it’s agenda involves a wholesale remaking of the American system of government, including abolishing capitalism, the U.S. Senate, the U.S. Supreme Court – and the presidency. Hong, a self-declared anti-capitalist, has publicly supported abolishing the U.S. Senate, police and prisons in the past.
“Expand the House of Representatives, implement proportional representation and ranked choice voting in all elections, and abolish the Senate.”
The new platform pushes:
- A future without capitalism
- “Establish public ownership of the largest corporations and essential industries”
- Abolish the Senate
- “We are workers fighting to transform society: to win the battle for democracy, draft a new constitution, and create a democratic socialist republic.”
- universal rent control-“Guarantee universal healthcare at no cost to individuals, including complete access to reproductive and gender-affirming care.”
- “We know complete victory will require building a new society from the ground up”
- “Enact reparations”
- “Feminism for all”
- Take steps toward “fully abolishing the police and prison systems.”
- End all deportations
- “Legalize migrations”
- Amnesty for all illegal immigrants, including those who commit crimes
- Let incarcerated people and “permanent residents” vote
- Statehood for Washington DC
- End “economic warfare” against Iran
- “You don’t pay a mortgage or have a landlord, because comfortable housing is a human right”
- “Our program was drafted between the months of April and June 2026 by a committee of DSA members, elected through a process established by DSA’s 2025 National Convention.”
Jake Altman wrote for the Free Press:
“I was a member of the DSA from the 2010s until 2022. During that time, I witnessed a rise in extremism, ranging from an eagerness to collaborate with Leninist groups to a growing animosity toward the U.S. and the West. My final departure was prompted by a DSA statement that attributed Russia’s aggression against Ukraine to American ‘imperialist expansionism.’
So what does the DSA stand for? An answer to that question arrived last week in the form of a new platform. Among the DSA’s core aims are ending the presidency and Supreme Court. Abolishing prisons. Universal free housing. The elimination of all debt. Closing all U.S. military bases overseas. Lifting all sanctions from Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran.”
“Their organization has been captured…” Altman told Fox News.
“One of my real concerns is that we see a lot of resistance to anti-communism within the DSA, even from the moderate wing of the DSA, and I think this is very, very dangerous.”
Altman told Fox that DSA is not “harmless,” claiming its members are “perfectly willing to cohabitate with Maoists, with Trotskyists, with Leninists.”
“People who want to pull down American institutions and are very clear about it. People who have this thrill to violence. That is just profoundly troubling at a time when our country is already facing many, many problems,” he said.
