Thank you, Kamala: Tim Walz Gives Trump a Better Chance to Win

This is an opinion piece.

After the past few weeks, I have to admit to feeling a bit anxious about the trajectory of the upcoming November election. A great concern of mine was that we either save the country with a Trump win or go way far left to destroy it from within with socialist or communist policies. To be honest, it seemed to me that Kamala Harris was on the path to winning in November.

I always felt for a while that Biden would be the Democratic nominee no matter what. Trump was doing very well against Biden – leading in almost every poll. Things looked really good after the Republican National Convention, too. Momentum was building. It looked like a sure win for Trump – and the country.  After the debate, however, it was obvious how mentally compromised Biden was. The entire country saw it – many for the first time since the media and Biden Administration had been running interference for Biden for quite some time.

The debate exposed Biden. The Emperor Had No Clothes. Yet, Biden insisted for weeks afterward that he was in the race for the presidency to stay. He even gave a speech about such. He was determined to be the nominee.  iden never indicated that he would quit.

Many of us on the right, myself included, sure hoped that Biden remained true to his word and stuck it out.  Until suddenly he wasn’t in it anymore. Biden stepped down to allow Kamala Harris to step in. Sadly, Americans will probably never really know how the left got Biden to pass the torch. Was he threatened with Article 25? Was he promised money?  A cushy landing for Hunter?  With the media we have today, which, in many cases, refuses to investigate and do any real unbiased reporting, we will never really know why Joe backed down.

What was really amazing was that suddenly, Democrats embraced Kamala Harris for the fill-in role. This was even after many had expressed concerns about Harris’s abilities or lack thereof for quite a while. There was a lot of hand-wringing about Kamala from Democrats.

It is probably why they allowed Joe to hang around for so long, even though he was apparently mentally compromised. They knew, as many of us already realized, that Harris is an empty suit. Void of actual intelligent thought and possibly even socialist to the core.  With a horrible cackle laugh that she seems to use when she cannot answer simple questions.

She has values that fly in the face of most true Americans. However, the empty suit is akin to Biden. Biden was a president who was easily led and possibly even controlled by forces behind the scenes. Obama and Soros, anyone??? Perhaps they now have their sights on Harris. Control Control. Control. (As a side note, given Biden’s mental acuity, who is really running the country? I have to laugh at the left, who always accuse Trump of attacking “democracy” when such is actually being attacked right before our eyes with a president who is AWOL and other unelected officials may be in charge!!! As well as a presumptive presidential nominee who was not elected by the people!).

So now Kamala has become Wonder Woman in the eyes of the press. Funny how much of her past anti-American word salads and viewpoints seem to have disappeared from social media. For example, lest we forget Kamala was totally against fracking. Such a stance would lead to crippling American independence on energy as well as end millions of jobs.

She also spoke in favor of encouraging people to donate money to George Floyd rioters during 2020 for bail. Rioters broke the law, burned cities (including a police station), and injured many that year! During one short time frame that year, in Chicago, 130 police officers were injured.

Of course, the media deemed such to be “mostly peaceful protests.” Sure. Americans who lived through this horrid time in our history know better. Police were demonized. Criminals were honored. The real biggie, too, is the border. Harris was indeed called the “Border Czar” by some major news outlets no matter how the media and Administration seem to insist that is not true. And what did she do? Certainly not enough. Did she even know what she was supposed to be doing? The border is a sieve, I believe, by design for more Democratic votes. An open border that puts many Americans at risk both from illegal drugs, human trafficking, and allows illegals the same benefits and voting access like actual citizens. And Harris failed to do enough at the border. They explain this by saying she was focused only on “root causes,” but that’s integrally connected to what happens AT the border.

And Kamala’s choice of her VP is now a gift – a gift to Republicans and Trump.

So just when I was feeling depressed and thinking Kamala and the left have the election in the bag, Harris picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her Vice President nominee. The sun came out! Happy days are here again! I heard birds tweeting! Once again, Trump has a great chance to be elected come November.

Tim Walz is a nominee with as much past anti-American baggage as Kamala, but the press cannot hide all of his views and actions. Walz, as governor of Minnesota, delayed protection for Minnesota cities that were burning during the George Floyd riots. A police station went up in flames.

He wants to give illegal aliens all the rights of American citizens and then some. Driver’s licenses to illegals. Health care funded by government. So many leftie/socialist stances that the media will try to hide, but hopefully will be exposed.

Walz even had a phone hotline set up during Covid for people to call in to turn in their neighbors if their gathering was “too large” based on Covid protocols. How communistic is that??? Walz, ever the “progressive” even stated that “one person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.”  Really??? Walz is a California liberal wanna-be.  But I saved the most “weird” thing for last.  Tim Walz actually signed into law that tampon dispensers be placed in boys’ bathrooms in schools. Yes, you read that correctly. Tampon dispensers. For boys. That is why he has the nickname “Tampon Tim.” GOOD GRIEF. Think most Americans will go along with this? Especially after Tampon Tim called most of the heartland a place of “mostly rocks and cows.”  Let’s send these two packing come November.

Trump and Vance 2024.

Wisconsin Voters More Concerned About Property Taxes Than School Funding

(The Center Square) – Wisconsin taxpayers are growing in their concern over property taxes, as witnessed by a recent Marquette poll showing that 60% of voters are more concerned about reducing property taxes than increasing spending on public schools.

That opinion has shifted over time as 61% of voters were more concerned about funding for schools in Aug. 2018 and polling shifted from favoring funding for schools to being more concerned about property taxes in between late 2022 and mid-2023, according to the poll.

The most recent poll asked questions of 818 Wisconsin registered voters between Feb. 11-19.

The shift comes as state lawmakers continue to debate what the best policy is to spend an expected $2.5 billion surplus at the end of the fiscal year.

Legislative Republicans sent a plan to Gov. Tony Evers that includes $1.5 billion in income tax rebates, $500 million in money for the state's school tax levy credit and $200 million included for special education funding.

Evers said during his State of the State speech that the plan for property tax relief and education spending must balance the two "a heck of a lot better.”

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos acknowledged during a press conference that Evers won’t negotiate on the school funding he approved with a partial veto that Republicans refer to as Evers’ 400-year property tax increase.

Evers used a partial veto and erased numbers and a hyphen to change “2024-25” to “2425” in the budget bill, locking in a $325 per student per year funding increase for 400 years.

That veto was the subject of a Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling approving the move and then legislation and a constitutional amendment proposal to change the governor’s partial veto power since.

Lawmakers Request DOJ Probe Into Whether Somali Fraud and ICE Protests Are Linked

The U.S. House Oversight Committee is requesting that the Department of Justice investigate whether the Somali welfare fraud and anti-immigration enforcement protests in Minnesota are connected.

In a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Republican lawmakers suggested the possibility that there exists “organized efforts to obstruct law enforcement with foreign influences and criminal activities, including fraud.”

“The Committee believes it is imperative to assess whether foreign-sourced funding and/or proceeds of financial crimes, particularly those involving federal funds, may be contributing to, or otherwise exacerbating unrest and efforts to obstruct law enforcement,” the lawmakers, led by Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., wrote Monday.

Their request for a DOJ briefing on the matter follows President Donald Trump’s previous comments that the Minnesota Somali fraud scandal "is at least partially responsible for the violent organized protests going on in the streets.”

The estimated $9 billion in welfare fraud was uncovered in October, and by December nearly 100 people – including 85 Somali immigrants – faced criminal charges, with dozens pleading guilty.

Among other schemes, fraudsters had falsely claimed children had autism to obtain benefits and enrolled ineligible individuals in food assistance programs.

On Jan. 7, protests in the Twin Cities region erupted after a federal immigration enforcement officer fatally shot a Minnesota resident and American citizen who authorities say attempted to hit agents with her car.

The committee believes the incidents “suggest coordinated or systemic activity” and is urging the DOJ to investigate “whether large-scale financial crimes involving federal funds may contribute to broader public safety or civil order challenges” related to immigration.

“The scale and duration of these schemes have raised concerns regarding whether fraud proceeds are being laundered or otherwise routed through nonprofit or organizational entities in ways that evade oversight,” lawmakers wrote. “As much of this fraud has disproportionally involved Minnesota’s immigrant community, targeted enforcement operations by ICE play a key role in stopping this systemic corruption.”

Fraudsters have taken advantage of Medicaid-funded services through Minnesota Department of Human Services programs for years, particularly targeting COVID-19 era programs, The Center Square reported.

In light of the newest revelations, Republicans have accused state officials of suppressing fraud reports and punishing whistleblowers, which Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison has denied.

Gov. Tim Walz recently unveiled his “comprehensive anti-fraud package,” but only after the Trump administration halted nearly $260 million in Medicaid funds to the state.
