Tim Michels’ Former Army Commander Speaks Out

-

Nearly 40 years ago Tim Michels graduated from the Airborne (Parachutist) course at Fort Benning, Ga.

My name is Bruce J Wozniak and I was his Company Commander. I am writing to vouch for the character traits and skills he learned in order to complete this intensive and demanding course.

Tim Michels was required to work side by side with ALL ranks, always working as a team, and developing leadership skills. Jumping out of an aircraft is a test of courage. It takes determination to finish this course and that’s exactly what he did on November 15, 1984.

I believe that because of Tim Michels’ military experience and achievements that it makes him the top choice to represent the great people of Wisconsin.

I retired with 33 years of military service, 10 of those years I was also a member of the Wisconsin National Guard, including 2 deployments to Iraq.

Tim Michels would bring a depth of knowledge needed to understand the mission and responsibilities of the Wisconsin National Guard.

Along with serving our country, I had the privilege to serve the people of Wisconsin for over 25 years and worked in numerous counties across this State.

At the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy, I learned the same ideals and ethics that were instilled during the Army Airborne School, such as Quality, Professionalism, Integrity and excellence.

Tim Michels has these character traits to serve the great people of Wisconsin with Quality, Professionalism, Integrity and Excellence.
